On June 1, 2008 our fifth annual Virginia Retriever Benefit was held in Remington, Virginia at Shady Grove Kennels, Sporting Clays, and Hunting Preserve. We had a wonderful turn out in spite of the ever increasing fuel prices compounded with a conflicting date with several club events. There were more than 75 people in attendance and over 60 dog entries making for a fun filled yet manageable event. Many sponsors donated items from dog bowls, stuffed animals, books, to pheasant hunts and OFA Certification examinations.
