2008 Virginia Retriever Benefit was held on June 1st, at Shady Grove Kennels. Details on the Event page, 2008 results.

In June of 2004 we learned of the possibility of a new park in Powhatan County, and hurriedly put together our first Benefit and started the commitment of bringing a testing, training, and trialing facility to Virginia. In just a little over four years we have held five successful Benefits, became a state registered NOT-FOR-PROFIT Corporation, raised over $8,000.00, put a training facility with pond/ponds into the first phase of Beaumont Park in Powhatan. We have gained access to Epps Island and enabled a club to hold a hunt test there. We have leased and began improvements on training grounds in the counties of Charlotte and Prince Edward, and most importantly raised awareness of our need for permanent grounds in the State of Virginia.
